    Iffy cylinder

Iffy aftermarket alloy Hw100 cylinder, guy drops his rifle off for repair saying its leaking from the filler port when I inspected it it turns out the end of the cylinder is full of hairline fractures how it's not totally failed and injured the guy is beyond me he's a very lucky man, for me the benefits of aftermarket cylinders are not worth the risk.

1 incident doesnt make it a write off for all.

Hells teeth that's appalling, Not like it took NDT to spot them either

They need to be removed & the manufacturer stopped from making any more because that's not fit for purpose & obviously dangerous.

Well spotted Dave, Near miss for the owner or the repairer in my view. Certainly puts me off non standard or 2nd hand high pressure parts for the moment..
