    BSA Airsporter

A BSA Sportster ID please. I've done a bit of research, mine's a straight barrel not tapered, small none adjustable rear sight that folds flat, the lever on the tap is straight with no tab area sticking out, i can't find the serial number, where did they hide it ??? there are 2 normal rail lines for scope mounts (i've seen 2 & 4 slots ? mentioned) plain stock no rubber butt pad, rear of the piston chamber slopes down like a Mercury break barrel & two slots on the forend one each side Ahhh light bulb moment maybe slots referred to the stock not scope mounting rails ??? Any idea where I can find the serial number & rough idea of age mk1 or mk11 & of course value approx in rough condition
Rabbit Stew, no artificial additives except lead.

Sounds like mk2 if slots referred to the scope rail not stock

Serial number should be just above trigger guard where the cocking lever & trigger block join together

You can check serial number prefixes here https://www.airgunspares.com/whats-my-bsa

Brilliant, thanks, found it under some paint. It's a GE so MK11 '65/67. Any idea of value as a rough do'er upper. Just a rough number guide will do for now.
