thoughts on HW95k NEW MODEL against OLD MODEL

Having not purchased any air rifles for a good few years and moved onto clays and rimfire/center fire due to the closures of ranges and clay shooting grounds I found the urge to buy a three month old HW95k.The HW95 was my first weihrauch followed by every model they made bar for the 57,My thoughts on the new model being slightly lighter but something is missing or is it me.I still have a 97k and a HW80k both heavier rifles And both having been fitted with when they were available V Mach tuning kits which I found the best.What thoughts have other members have on this rifle bearing in mind it will take me a bit to get used to a springer all over again.

I put an ARH kit & piston seal in my 9 month old HW95L .22 after the FPS had dropped. I had about 2K/3K shots through the rifle before the tune. This is a pic of the Weihrauch seal that was burned and damaged.

I do have a newer version of the 95 but haven't used it extensively as yet. I have one of the very earliest versions in .177 which I love to bits and which is one of my most favourite rifles. I cannot imagine any reason why the later ones should be any less enjoyable or effective. I find them accurate and easy to use and would say to go right ahead. After a period of usage and getting to know the rifle inside-out, be led by your experiences and wants as to which tuning route (if any) to take. Take the time to get to know how this excellent springer wants to be handled and you will be rewarded by reliable and enjoyable long service.

I have an early Mk1 full length in .22 and it's fabulous! I prefer the longer barrel and muzzle weight, but the modern screwcut ones have plenty of benefits too.

its a pleaure to see a fine collection,hope they get used, Having not had a chance till now to crono the hw95 found it more than a little low at 9.65ft/lbs with superdomes which is a little disappointing but first chance will strip and see what we can do to raise it a little.Have a mk2 HW 80k and that's only running 10.90ft/lbs but is as sweet as a nut.You do not need to be running 11.99ft/lbs with every rifle its to easy to creep up un noticed
