BSA stock inlaid with gilt medallion

Can anyone help identify this medallion on a BSA stock?

I’ve been told it’s a queens regiment medallion but I’m unsure

Ha perhaps it is that then, I was wondering if it was the Royal Warwickshire cap badge, but unfortunately the pic is too blurry to tell. Great to have on the stock though.

Yes it’s unusual & interesting to see on a stock

I’ve updated the pic to make it a bit clearer

You might be right, it could be

The description of it being a queens regiment medallion was from a military antique auction house

After a bit of searching I believe it’s the Paschal Lamb with St. George’s flag from the Queens royal regiment (West Surrey) WW2

The Queen's Royal Regiment was a line infantry regiment of the English and later the British Army from 1661 to 1959. In 1921 the regiment became the Queen's Royal Regiment (West Surrey).
It ceased to exist as a separate regiment in 1959 when it joined with the East Surrey Regiment, to form The Queen's Royal Surrey Regiment

I can now confirm it is a Queens royal regiment medallion, it’s also got the old metal but plate

What year did they stop producting metal butt plates for the stocks?
