Grain filling on a already Oil finished stock!

Hi all. I’ve just put a few coats of oil on my H W 100 walnut stock. However there are some small areas where the grain is still open, is there a method of filling the grain without rubbing it back down to the bare wood.
The stock itself is brand-new, it was just a bit dull, so I decided to give it a few coats of English walnut oil, looks great now, but there are a few patches where the grain is not filled properly.
any advice would be much appreciated.

Use a bit of pumice or rottenstone powder and rub into the stock with oil. This will grind very fine particles of wood into the open areas and give an invisible fix.

1500 grit wet and dry with oil helps if the graining is deeper.
    Finishing with rotten stone.
Keep in the direction of the grain.
    Repariere nicht, was nicht kaputtist.
