Hi All
Does anyone know if you buy a scope from optics-trade-eu, do you have to pay import duties and vat when you have it sent to the UK??

I certainly think you'll have to pay VAT...

At the top of the page where it says United Kingdom, underneath it says "VAT excluded", so i'd guess you'll get charged the VAT when it comes into the country...

( I hope I'm wrong... I've got a 20MOA scope base on order from them and expecting to pay the VAT on it at some point...)

Thanks Daryll, a friend of mine has just ordered a scope from them I will ask him what the charges are when it arrives.

Just hope they don't use DPD... I ordered something a few days ago from the Uk branch of a German company.. they said 5-8 days, so I guessed it was being shipped from Germany...

I was told it was shipped, and given a tracking link...

In the last 3 days it looks to have been backwards and forwards between Holland and Germany, and been through Customs 4 times...!!
