    Indoor ranges

There seems to be some confusion up here as to what's allowed in target sports.

Are any clubs getting going on indoor pistol shooting and what limits are you placing on attendance?

    Thanks for any feedback

We are open to members only and limited to 30 people attending at any one time at the indoor range. (10m and 40m rifle ranges).
Its members only on the outdoor range.

Doncaster is open to anyone, with social distancing in place queuing and all lanes are partitioned off, no mask no entry and its a fantastic few hours knowing that the owners have made it this safe yet it doesn't get in the way, only when arriving, checking targets and leaving.

    Brilliant pace to shoot.

We've been open for a couple of months now (and also opened briefly between lockdowns last year with various limits).

Based on the size of our 10m range it's usually been one person/bubble at a time (it's monitored by CCTV from the clubroom so the shooter is not entirely shooting alone). The committee did pop a little bathroom-style extractor fan at the bottom of the range to generate some airflow since the air range had no ventilation. Obviously the 25yd range turns over the air ~8times/hour by design.

The main friction is on arrival - scan in with the NHS app and they've got a non-contact thermometer to check your forehead temperature. After that it's just masks (when not directly shooting) and social distancing but otherwise "business as usual".

We opened straight away, and during the "between lockdown" period.

It is a smallbore/full bore indoor range so there is a good air flow down the range towards the targets and we do not require masks while actually on the firing point. No more than three shooters on the 6 lanes to give sone distancing. Masks mandatory anywhere else. Sanitise firing points when details change. Sanitise club room surfaces and all touch points at the end of the session (multiple clubs use the same range). Ours is a small club so not much of a problem to limit to 6 peeps at a time. Other (bigger) clubs use a side door access to the firing points and wait their turn in the car park.
