Mach 1.5, the tasco I have is the fm version - with strange rubber adjustment caps. I have also tried one of the compact smk 4x32 midot scopes which is reasonable for the short distances I shot the 30s and looks 'right', however it lacks the clarity given by the tasco. Was the fm classed as a good scope back in the day?

    Yes.
This is a copy of an advert in AGW, May 89. Compare the prices of the Tasco FM scopes to the rifles. Tasco 4 x 40 AG FM £83.90. BSA Mercury £71.50. ASI Superscope 4x40 £39.95.

    Tasco FM

The 663wfm to give it's correct name was £35.95 in 1984. The FM range ran till about 1985 when it was revamped to the AG range. Classic scope with great optics. The rubber adjustments caps are known to perish. Mach 1.5

Love my 30 and have tried various scopes but settled on tbe cheapest one I've used. Hawke Vantage 2x7x32 it suits the little Springer well with nice optics and a milldot which is quite chunky but ok.
