A period diopter would really help?

At the risk of being the bloke selling his non running motorbike on e b a y as the proverbial “easy fix”, making a new rear sight blade would not be hard. It’s just bent sheet.

    Ask Josie&John

J.Milewski on here would be probably the best to ask .
I read somewhere that these are earlier not 1980's . Maybe they were used in Lebanon in the 80's but from what I remember of that s**t awful decade peeps out there were using real AK47's . Am sure these are Egyptian but made in Germany by one the better manufacturers .
Being a proper military trainer any dings , damage and repairs only authenticate it's originality
Looks sweet condition to me .

I don't believe these were fitted with a sight where your diopter is fitted. Mine doesn't have one. I reckon I paid around 300 for it, but it was a while ago.

    Manufactured 1954.

No, just to be clear, I put the diopter on because the rear sight blade is missing, so no, it is not original, and yes, these were made by anschulz in the 50s for the Egyptians

I paid £400 for an honest one a couple of years ago. Using that, Holts' price and maybe a search on this site should give you a rough idea of value.

The missing rearsight blade and faux charger guide will reduce value slightly but this is still a nice rifle that ought to sell if priced appropriately.

    Kind regards,

    John

The sticky up thing isn’t a fake charger guide. It’s a fake spent case deflector.

Not a lot of people know that.
