Plastic trigger on anything especially if it involves the safety catch are stupid and dangerous IMO.

Just so I understand how it operates Ian, what exactly do the two tabs do

If you look at Ian’s photo (and if my memory is correct - it’s about twenty years since I last had one of these apart) the front tab blocks the upper projection on the trigger blade, and the little one also stops the back of the sear rising, blocking it from release. In principle a really good idea, that. Unfortunately, especially if people try pulling the trigger with the safety on or partially engaged, the front tab can bend to a point where pulling the trigger pushes the tab (and therefore the whole safety bar) forward.
