Yes some will be wrong .
Here is one of the only films I know of from the period, featuring BSA Air Rifles, around the time that they were actively produced.
"They Were Sisters", was made in 1945, and apart from showing James Mason's character as a complete B******d, it shows pre-war BSA rifles at 27.04, 33.00, and 1.03.55.

Interesting. Film sounds a bit grim.

I’ll pass. Never a great James Mason fan after discovering that he’d been a conscientious objector in WW2, despite no obvious prior history (eg Quakerism) that would explain it as a genuine moral choice (with which I’d have no issue). Conventional English middle class public school and Cambridge upbringing, then suddenly discovers pacifism when Hitler comes calling.
I think there’s a reason he was rarely cast in war films, except as Rommel.
Just not my cup of tea.
Not lettin you off with that utter trash . This thread is about our airguns not about politics and personal grudges . Mason was one of the best actors certainly post-War not only in Britain but elsewhere too . That I do not 'like' a lot of his movies is irrelevant , since when was I a film critic . The guy could act and do it well . His politics and that of any other actor , their upbringing , their religion , their taste in clothing has nothing to do with their on-screen ability . It is make believe after all . To switch off , only because someone objects to some guy's personal politics indicates much more of a character flaw in the person making the comment .
Thanks Lakey , Wonderful . The IMDB is simply a database uploaded by film geeks , a bit like us airgun geeks and given the length and breadth of cinema history cannot be 100% totally conclusive . I saw a movie only recently with another 'airgun' - heavily disguised as a tranq. gun . Still trying to work out what it is ...Lol . If I ever do , I will zap them an email with data to host up on that list .

Billy Casper shooting sparrows with a BSA Meteor to feed to his kestrel in Kes.
In an episode of Just William, William uses a BSA underlever to shoot cans in the garden.
The South of England has 2 good things, the M1 and the A1. Both will take you to Yorkshire.
