    For who & what
    loss/damage/theft of kit?
    personal injury?
    3rd party liability?
There are many different types of insurance, first check what your house insurance covers, then look at shooting people like BASC.

Personally I will not touch the likes of 3C's because they are purely insurance brokers & put nothing back in to shooting.

Also check out your local club. Clubs often have their own insurance to cover people shooting on the club ground / participating in competitions.

If you are a member of a club, shooting at the clubs venue/s will be covered. this will usually extend to comps such as HFT & FT.

You want your own personal insurance IMHO.

BASC is marmite. People either hate BASC or like them. They are the most expensive.

SACS is pretty good too. been a member with them before.

Others like NGO etc also good.

There are plenty of threads on the BBS re this topic and plenty more names will come to light on a search.

Your principle issue will be the Public Liability typically at 10 million..... some do less but if you turn a person into a cabbage, 10 Million is not inconceivable to be a court settlement albeit unlikely.

You want the biggest cover for the least premium it seems to me.
In a battle of wits I refuse to engage with an unarmed person.
To one shot one kill, you need to seek the S. Kill only comes from Skill

I'm with Country Cover Club (C3) but you could also try Gunplan for basic cover.

C3 here as well (covers me for the permission and garden plinking)
But for club shooting, most clubs carry their own for their members/events.

Depends how you look at it.
according to the breakdown of the membership fee, insurance is only £12 the rest of the membership fee goes on other shooting related matters.

C3 charge £30-40 but it all goes in to their pocket, with no benefit to the shooting community.

And it's a pity that they (BASC) don't give much to the airgunning side of things
