Hints and tips?
Hi new member here,
I just inherited a Walther LP 2 serial# 22775. It is in excellent condition and apparently used very little by my BIL. More than likely not fired for five years or more.
It loads and cocks properly and when fired will shoot the pellet through one side of a pop can.
My question, what should I do before I start shooting targets every week or so?

1. Welcome!
2. A nice thing to inherit.
3. A word of warning. The LP2 has a spotty reputation for reliability. Fixing them can be tricky. But there are people on here who can do that, or help.
4. Tips and tricks? Mug up on stance, breathing, sight picture, sight alignment, trigger control and follow-through.

Thanks
I am more concerned about the pistol itself, I have been shooting handguns for 55 plus years mostly S&W Model 19.
Since the Walther has been sitting for a number of years I’m looking for info on lubrication and maintenance.
