The price for the Mars 115 is extraordinary

Cheaper than I would have estimated for such an ultra rare piece of airgun history.

Hi Brian, yes history does seem to be getting more expensive these days. l thought it would go for more. but it did go for a lot more than the Wallis rifle went for.

    Hi Micky,
Yes surprising that even though the Wallis was in need of some restoration. Sometimes it isn't just extreme rarity that attracts collectors and consequent higher prices.

The mk7 titan is not ugly !

Hello, I am new to the forum and feel I must defend the looks of the mk7 titan. I found one at an auction last year and still can't believe my luck. £250 all in. That is auctioneers fees and postage.plus it's been rebuilt by a specialist with a fancy title.
    Thank you. Simon.

In fairness I’d have as many mk7s at that price as I could find!

The titans have grown on me I must admit

    Hi Pete,
Although not a maker's designation, the top one is considered by collectors as a 7th Series model and the lower one a 6th Series model. I wouldn't consider the 7th Series pistols ugly and they also heavily influenced the appearance of the slightly later Webley Mk1 models.

This Cogswell & Harrison or more like Wallace & Gromit design is what I would consider to be a bit on the ugly side

Sadly someone has seen fit to saw off the end of the barrel on your Model 6 pistol. I have seen this on a few examples and I can only assume it was done to make it fit the pocket better. Unfortunately it will affect the value quite a lot to the serious collector. But on the plus side, I doubt it will affect the accuracy much!

I thought that might be the case. Neither have much bluing but shoot okay and feel solid. I have no idea of value.

    Hi Pete,
Most of the Titans i have come across have little if any original finish present. Out of interest, I would estimate the value of the Series 7 at around £500 and the Series 6 at around £300 due to the shortened barrel.

WoW! What do think the short barrel one would be unmolested?

    Hi Pete
I would have thought around another fifty or sixty quid with original length barrel.
