    Short moderator

    I recently bought a HW10O BPK
It's great but I decided it might look better with a shorter moderator (around 100mn)
I tried a friend's Daystate mod which works & looks fine, however as this is basically a vanity project I was hoping for something a little cheaper.
    I'm thinking that a Custom
Carbon Mini Wraith (90 mm & £40) might do the job.
Does anyone have experience of these? Or maybe suggest alternatives?

I thought about this but contacting Blade is a pain in the bum.
    Thx for the suggestion though

FYI this is the HW95L Moderator connection. 1/2" diameter thread 3/4" long and female threads start after the bevel.

I bought a Baby Fatboy from Blade last week, comms were fast via the PM and after I paid it arrived next day. Couldn't have been smoother TBH.

And the mod is at least as effective at 98mm as a 195mm Edgar Bros one I had here. And WAY better than the useless Huggett Atom! There is so little absorption material in it you may as well stick a hair curler on the end of your barrel and save £55

You posted the same pic on my moderator thread and it still doesn't answer the OP's question, no matter how many times it is posted

You have a lathe and yet you've not wasted hundreds of hours trying to improve upon the HW mod and failing miserably?

    Shame on you
Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're probably right.

Interesting. Just the right size too! Do you have contact details for blade? I've read a few bad stories about Huggets.

Funny you should say that! I DID make one for a pistol from an old vacuum cleaner tube stuffed with mini paint rollers. It works really well & even looks quite good - from a distance... But you're right, it took quite a while!!!

    Thanks folks
Just bought a Baby Fatboy from Blade.
Very painless once I'd worked out how to contact him!
I'll post a photo when it arrives.

Very useful stuff, vacuum cleaner tube. If you want to make fatter silencers then the tube that rotary clothes lines are made from comes in very useful. In fact I look forward to ours being damaged and scrapped. . . .

Here's a jumbo reflex design, two concentric thin wall tubes. https://i.imgur.com/gar0ADU.jpg
