    Webley Tempest stirrup

Interesting that the top of the stirrup/barrel catch on this (presumably Turkish-made?) Tempest 'Finale' is angled as it meets the barrel:

whereas the Birmingham-made original is simply filed downwards towards the barrel.

Is the whole stirrup cast (or 'sintered' like on the Premiers) rather than ordinary steel?

Danny, is the Turkish one steel? Have you tried a magnet on it ? Looking at the Youtube video it looks like a pressed steel part, you can see where the metal is folded at the corners.
