    Did I miss the calibre?
The scope is a fine scope and best for a .177's potential. Bit much/lump for a .22. Very correct for the time.

There are prettier rifles, but not many of this tune, and thats where the value, the history, the interesting part lies.
I agree it would be “sexier” as a tyro or thumbhole.

But that stock is a classic and elegantly functional - arguably better for field use than the above. It ought to shine up well with a bit of work to bring out the grain.

    Venom 80

It's a nice 1989 Venom Vantage Lazaglide. Produce when it was Venom Arms Company at the gun barrel works cradley heath. Not messed about with and all original. Lovely. Mach 1.5

vantage is the best stock for a lazglide sokes up the recoil better than a varminter .The tyrolean look nice but can be hard to use with a scope as many were made to fit the shooter .I love all of them

My comment on the stock is that it doesn't have a lot of colour to it. I'm sure its functional.
I think its a fab, most interesting, rifle. Love to shoot it, just to know what it feels like.

The tune is what makes this rifle interesting. It ought to shoot straight as thats what the tune was for. So to me the value, premium value, is in those two. Above just being a Venom.

£500 for rifle, plus interesting tune, plus shoots spot on, plus its a rare/desirable Venom build, plus period scope. What price on those??
I don't think its sexy enough to be £1k plus rifle. Maybe a £650???? What was the price when built? At this level its a hobby.
