Chris, Could you provide a bit more info about the 'Dolla' type pistol? As there are so many variants, perhaps it would be easer to see if you can locate the exact model in the Encyclopedia of Spring Air Pistols?
Many thanks,
John
For Sale:
1930 Accles & Shelvoke 'WARRIOR' .177 air pistol, serial number 5136. No blue remaining at all, just a brown/grey smooth finish, with very faint evidence of rusting. All the lettering sharp enough and as original. Vulcanite grips present, but both chipped, one heavily. Both original sights present and correct which is a big bonus! Cocks and fires.
Basically with a good polish and a proper satin type reblue, this pistol would/could look really great. The grips would be more difficult to repair. Black resin of some sort?
PRICE: £275 + £11 special Delivery
1920 or thereabout DOLLA 'Gat' type air pistol, with exposed spring. all nickel finish with much of it remaining. Pin at rear of cylinder present. 'Chequered' grips.
Nice complete and original example, never interfered with.
PRICE: £75 + £6 post.

Hello John.
My Dolla would appear to be 'VARIANT IV, as shown on Page 69 of your book. Manufactured by Langenham - 1927 to 1940.
Thanks Chris.
For those who are unsure, it is one of the last variants, characterised by an oval trigger guard aperture and rounded base to the grip. These are now quite rare, especially with intact nickel plating and original breech pin.
The DOLLA now sold.
