I'm throwing this out to the collective as we're struggling. Jane has been with us since the start and prior to the club starting hadn't previously shot. Using various borrowed rifles her scores have steadily improved but covid put the brakes on freely exchanging guns during a meeting. Ever since she has been using my crosman 2000 co2 target rifle, which frankly she doesn't get on with.

Put an s200 in her hands and she's shooting in the 38s,39s and 40s. So she has the potential.

Finding a suitable rifle has been challenging and many have been tried.

The requirements as I see them are:

Self contained, no bottle or pump.

Co2 is an option.

Dioptre sights of a reasonable quality.

Moderate cocking effort, a hw55t was too much last night.

Medium weight, the crosman is too light, the hw55 was too heavy. Weight, we can play with to some extent by modification, but ideally, needs to be right.

177 calibre.

Power in the 6ftlbs ball park and no higher than 7.5.

Reaosnable quality, I don't want her put off by owning something that will be unpleasant to shoot or inherently inaccurate.

Suggestions on a virtual post card please.

Thanks

Dave
