Whoa its horrible that they deform breach seals so quickly! That is surely just poor design..... and 6 yards is err odd. Gamo should have left that one on the drawing board

There is a bloke here who tuned its VE (we dont have a power limit here) and it now does shatters claypigeons at 10m he says. On a hardboard though, you need a hard background. Dunno power output he got from memory. Might very well be UK illegal. Dont know the VE original output either but I suspect 14-15Ftp in open version. But still, very limited range indeed.
I once thought, what if you could add a small piece of .177 Viper Skeet barrel to the VE barrel, to act like a choke... They have same barrel in looks...
    O well, thats just theoretically.
Havent tried the Shadow DX Express yet. But I expect similar performance. I can mail you some of my results and pics if yr interested.
They áre quite fun though. Great way to thrash all those old CDs you werent listening to anymore anyway
Theyre an old design. Pre CAT/SAT, pre IGT

It seems that you know your stuff HWtyger regarding air shotguns! Its fascinating to think about their potential but on low power it seems like a dead end, other than a refreshing change to a plinking session I cannot see a use for them which is a tad disappointing as they look like fun.

Dont know. I always use original shot. Never reloaded.
I think all use about same size shot for reloading, nr 9, about 20 pieces.
Dunno if lead shot is still available as its banned for hunting.
K3 CDs suffered most damage, whereas Thunderdome CDs were toughest

Someone offered a PCP air shotgun very briefly here in the 90s. I forget the name. I think it was based on a Titan action.

U.K. importers of the Crosman 2100 multi-pump around the same time pushed it as the “Triple Strike” “air shotgun” because you could load and fire 3 bbs at once.

There was also the 1980s Yewha:

Had the Crosman 766 3 bb jobby.
Fun shooting tin cans and if i remember right, it was pretty
accurate single shot on lead ammo.
