Yunker 1 Kalashnikov CO2 Powered Rifle

This is one for the Military style airgun or even deactivated firearm collector.

The Yunker 1 was the first Kalashnikov based replica that was made by Izhmash, the same factory that produce AK firearms for the Russian Federation.

It is basically a deactivated Kalashnikov with a multi shot Baikal MP-651K pistol at the heart of the rifle, which provides its power.

As can be seen from the photos, the Yunker 1 field strips just like an AK and is not welded up like modern deactivated rifles. It shares many parts with the AK and the markings on the receiver confirm its Izhmash origins. The barrel is a genuine AK barrel that is non functional and the actual barrel is the hollowed out dummy 'cleaning rod'. The Yunker 1's receiver cover and bolt carrier need to be removed to access the pistol's magazine and load it with BBs or lead coated ball, which provides an excellent excuse to undertake a field strip whenever you load the rifle! The magazine is correctly marked and factory adapted from an original to fit the magazine well. It still has a follower and will accept dummy cartridges but is otherwise non functioning.

A standard 12g CO2 cartridge loads in the grip. The safety lever functions just as on the original and is a replacement from a genuine AK that I sourced as the lever was missing when I bought the Yunker. Likewise, the cocking handle can be manipulated under spring pressure when the safety is off. Accuracy is not the Yunker's strongest feature but the rifle does work and is fun at short range.

I sourced a 'deactivated' bayonet for the Yunker, which was made for the AK-100 Series the Yunker 1 is based on. The bayonet is a genuine item but has a discreet milled section that is designed to break it if it were ever used for its intended purpose. It does not fit the Yunker due to the oversize dummy cleaning rod but it is a rare bayonet and displays well with the Yunker.

£295 posted with the bayonet and £270 posted without the bayonet. Link to pics below.
