    Crosman mk2 target pistol valuation

Valuations please on this Crosman mk2 target pistol

It has the power adjuster screw (earlier mk2’s) & the two stage cocking hammer

I’m not sure if the grips are original as I’ve only ever seen the black & red grips?

They are very nice, and seemingly quite hard to find, but those are aftermarket grips and imho don’t do much for the look of the gun either.

May be £150 as a shooter rather than a collectible? Not sure.
    Morally flawed

Thanks, yes they’re becoming harder to find

I’ve just found this from “airguns & air pistols by L Wesley” with a mk1/mk2 on front cover with the checkered grips, might be the red grips but look too light?

Maybe they produced a few different colours over the years?

    Grip Colours
Over the many years of manufacture the colour tones in the Mk I grips have been found ranging from a dull matte brown with no colour swirls to a high gloss grip with highly visible contrasting colour swirls. The Mark II grips range from a dull black to a high gloss shine. These grip variants seem to be independent of the year of manufacture and are not a good way to speculate dates.

Thanks Garvin after a quick read of the link looks like it’s pre. 1975 with it having the power adjuster screw, early style piercing cap & steel bolt guide

Those grips look like the ones that were sold by 'The Crooked Barn' in the USA.

Back in the day when there was 2$ to the GBP

those were the good old days when buying from the US
the grips i think were made by Ralph Brown ,although Vern Austin still makes them i think he uses coloured plywood
these are black walnut RB grips

price wise £150 is a fair price for a mk11 in that condition imo
when i saw it first it was £275 i think and i thought for it's condition it was a bit dear
a mate sent me the link before you posted and if i hadn't just bought a few other guns i may have bought it ,i think there's a 451 on at the moment as well

Yes I seen that, £475! It was in really nice condition though, been taken down now so it might have been sold

    I know they’re quite rare
