Just out of interest what are you lads using in older .177 bsa air rifles, recently I’ve been shooting my various BSA’s I mainly use superdomes but the velocity hasn’t been quite as good as it can be and even though I know the piston seals are fine I’m getting the impression of the piston slamming down a bit to hard but if I press down on the pellet on a flat hard surface to slightly flare the skirt then the rifles feel much better to shoot and the velocity goes up by around 50-60fps depending on the rifle I’m using which are 70s-80s Mercury s and Airsporter s etc so is there any type of pellet with a slightly larger diameter in .177 similar to the 5.6mm marksman for the older .22 barrels
Any help is much appreciated

Happy New year…Andy
