    BSA Miltary pattern

A long shot, can anyone tell me the dimensions of the front sling ring on a BSA Millitary pattern air rifle, the type that is dovetailed to the barrel, o/d, i/d and side to side measurements, thank you in advance.
    Cheers, Lawrie

    Hi Lawrie,
if you look in Danny's gallery at Military Pat. Serial No.137 which is mine there is a close up photo of the front sling ring.
Outside dia.1/2" width 5/16" hole size measures 5.67mm which is just over 7/32"
The hole is countersunk both sides probably with a bull nosed end mill rather than a standard countersink tool.
The ring and collar that surrounds the barrel appears to be made in one piece rather than with a dovetail.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind regards,
    Chris Smith

Thank you for that information Chris and Danny, I did see your one on Danny’s site Chris , Hopefully the dovetailed one will be the same dimensions.

    Cheers, Lawrie
