Hi all, after a bit of advice really. I have a short cylinder Relum break barrel in bits and I was looking to get it shooting again. This particular rifle was a present from my daughter and obviously has more sentimental value than monetary value. It has been reblued by Colin Malloy and now needs to be put back together in a way that I am discovering is beyond my skills.
I was hoping to get it to around 9ft/lbs with a smooth cycle. This would likely involve tp sleeping and top hats etc but with no chrono and no time, I was looking for someone who would do the rebuild for me.
So does anyone know a forum member or gunsmith who would be willing to take it on. All the gunsmiths I have contacted have said they won’t work on Relums. I have no idea how much the work would ost so if anyone has any ideas on the ball park figure, that would be much appreciated too.

Hi Jon,

Try Vic at Protek Supplies in Bognor Regis as I know he specialises in Relums and associated spares. Postage both ways will bump the price up though.

Thanks John, I have had many parts from Protek over the years and have gotten advice in the past too. I hadn’t really thought about them for rebuilding possibilities. I may give them a shout as I need some bits from them anyway. Thanks for the tip.
