    What is this hole in the cylinder for?

    Edit: just thought about it more, maybe air because balls in the reservoir ahead of the transfer port would mean air couldn't be guaranteed to be drawn in from there? But it's so far back maybe oil?

    Could be either but I think its for oil, thats what I use it for on my VZ35. The probe that forces the pellet home, makes it pretty hard to get oil to the pistol seal?
