That is a shame. I always enjoyed his posts
Condolences to his family
Morally flawed
What a loss, Frank was a very nice & knowledgeable guy, whom I could always call for advice. I was proud to know such an established Dutch collector, with a truly global network of contacts. Too bad we didn't have enough contact last year He guided me a few times through his vast collection of air rifles with some wonderful anecdotes, which came up in many of his conquests. Especially collecting in the pre-internet era provided some great adventures. I even got him to join facebook to enforce some of our collectors groups. We had common ground in the field of prewar air rifles (old German and English rifles) but the size & completeness of his collection is truly unrifled to what I have seen to date. He was handy enough to fabricate missing parts, a stock or accessories himself. He has also taken care of quite a few rare pieces in my collection. Kudos for some very nice restorations.
RIP Maestro!
Collection: vintage air pistols & air rifles / vintage air gun accessories
Facebook groups: vintage air guns 1. Webley, 2 BSA, 3. Haenel, 4. Weihrauch, 5. Diana
Another great collector no longer with us. A sad loss to our fraternity.
RIP Frank, you will be missed by many.
Rip frank. Had many chats with frank in here. I kept on to him about making me a bullpup hw80 after seeing his bullpup springer he made. Such a talented, grounded and lovely man. Always helpful and nothing was ever to much trouble. Rip buddy hope you are at peace.
