    Makers Mark I.D?

    Hi,
Anyone know this hidden makers mark?

    [IMG][/IMG]

It is from an otherwise unmarked Kurbelspanner which is identical to the one featured in the 1902-03 Oscar Will catalogue. (this example is not mine)

I would expect it to be a maker based in Zella st Blasii

    Cheers,
    Matt

    Hi Matt,
It is the trade mark of Julius Will - if you look at it the right way up, you can see that it is a J and W intertwined. This has been found on his kurbelspanner pistols.

    Cheers,
    John

    Hi John,
    That’s brilliant, thanks mate.

So julius was making Kurbelspanner’s that featured in the 1902-03 VW catalogue, very interesting.

    I’ll pass on the info.

    Cheers,
    Matt
