So sad to hear this news a massive loss to the airgun community..

RIP pal.
You helped out loads of our community in so many ways over the years...
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
Sad news, I had a some great deals with I.J., RIP Ian, a true gentleman
Very sad news .
Ian formed Blackburn Outdoor Airgun Club in the eighties before going on to form Rivington Riflemen .
Always a character , happy to take the mickey out of anyone including himself .
A wealth of knowledge .
R.I.P Ian
Oh no , condolences to Ian’s family.
Very sad news
condolences to family and friends.
A top gent and a credit to the community
RIP Ian
Sincere condolences to Ian's family and friends. Shocked and dismayed at this. Had the usual banter with him at Melbourne two weeks ago and word at Adlington was he was on the mend.
He and side kick Phil always ready to mentor the likes of me regarding sensible prices, bargains etc
So sad to hear this. We are all poorer for his passing. He must have been the wittiest person I've ever encountered and could always be relied on to raise a smile in any post he made.
Not forgetting his immense airgun knowledge or love for airguns, which he put into practical effect with his beloved Rivington Rifleman. My condolences to Bob, Dave (DM80), Phil and his other friends and family.
RIP Ian.
but in fond memory of Ian,

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
Very sad news. I met Ian at Rivington years ago when I had chance to visit club and was given a very warm welcome. Many small deals on here, and IJ’s humour on here has really cheered me on many occasions -
ATB to you Ian
Looking for TO-6 Trigger unit unmessed with or T0-6 kit for 34
Very sad news. Rip
I am so very sorry to hear this terrible news.
Ian had a great sense of humour, especially when it came to winding up Webley air pistol collectors. Who can forget the image of Ian stirring his tea with a Webley pistol barrel?
Ian was also incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He lent me a couple of special Webley rifles to test a few years ago and there was never any rush for their return.
Ian will be greatly missed.
