    New Video: Bellows gun fix’n’shoot

    Hi chaps,
Just finished my latest video showing how an 1830’s Kuchenreuter Bellows airgun works, how I fixed it and how it shoots.

It’s 20 mins long and filmed in glorious 4k so sit back and enjoy, it’s a belter!

    Happy Christmas to all.

Great job and very enjoyable to watch, bellows airguns are now no longer a mystery to me. It certainly spits that dart out with some authority!

Matt you total hero! I didn't just enjoy it, I absolutely loved it. Best video you've done so far and it'll be a hard act to follow. It answered about a thousand questions I had. Superb workmanship both by Bartholomeus in making it and by you in repairing and demonstrating it.

The one thing I would suggest, is that you swap the black gloves for white ones.

    Happy Christmas.

Thanks guys, glad you like it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole project and I’m pleased with how the video came out.
Black gloves otherwise the light balance goes out of whack on the camera btw.

    Cheers,
    Matt

    Awesome

Kept skipping past the thread, Bellows Nah, not for me

    Look what you've done!

Not only is the video worthy of TV series, I'm hooked.

    Thank you Matt, I think

    Job done,
I got intrigued about the idea of a Bellows rifle after shooting ccdjg’s Bellows pistol, so I’m just passing on the interest.
I’ve heard you do see the occasional Bellows gun at Kempton

    Cheers,
    Matt

I was shown a gallery gun by Segal? of salzburg of a similar age but instead of bellows it had a pump in the butt. The weight of the gun did the work for you. Lovely old world craftsmanship using hand tools plus lots of skill. Many thanks for the video and your outstanding restoration work Mr ptdunk

Super entertainment Matt. Two great skills on display - video making and gun restoration. And what a wonderful gun!
    Cheers
