    I have a 1950 Parker Hale catalogue that quotes £9 10s + Purchase Tax of £2 5s 9d for the Mk1 Airsporter and Club.

I'd hazard a guess the 1948 price was pretty close to this.

Currently looking for Baikal Makarov pistols with the following prefixes to the serial number: 98, T01, T09, T21, T22
Prefer boxed or cased but will consider loose examples too.

Interesting … That was quite a lot for the average working man at that time … My dad was in the Merchant Navy at that time, ordered a Mk1 whilst on leave and paid it off in instalments.

He passed away in 1974 and no one knew what happened to the rifle, such is life.
Not sure where I`m going.....But I`ll get there someday
