There are indeed some good guys on here helping to keep these Japanese pumpers going. My Sharp Ace was a project. Ped helped me out by sourcing a replacement trigger housing which Lawrie fitted whilst resealing it for me.

A lot of forum members have had a go on this old girl. I bought this bargain a couple of years ago from Shed Tuner and set about a project changing the plastic parts. Jrushi put me in touch with a friend of his for an alloy breech, Ped modified it to fit and I met Laurie Amatruda at kempton for a re-seal. Recently I had to fettle the sticking sear and thanks to Maple replying to my wanted advert I now have a mk2 safety fitted again. Swissmick recently supplied the rear peep sight. I'm sure I've missed someone off the list but thanks to this forum I have a functioning Innova i nearly gave up on and it should last another 40 years!

Wow what a great looking Innova!
The metal breech and Galway end piece will make it pass the test of time.
Great that you persevered with this project!
Does it shoot well now?
Cheers, Louis
Peds done some wonderful work on the crumbling ace trigger blocks. Col.
Thanks Louis it's taken a lot more tinkering than the other pumpers I've played with. A couple of things that have helped was polishing inside the pump tube and adjusting the piston so the handle closes more securely. The piston seal is the original and it could do with replacing, I've got a couple of spares to try.yesterday I fitted a red dot and it was punching bullseyes out, they are very accurate for thin barrels. I'll have to report back with a shot string and accuracy results.
Wow ! I always liked the innova, I vividly remember buying a couple new from The Mart in Lowestoft for under £100 the pair !!
The big thing that put me off them was the plastic breech and the op has certainly sorted that. EXCELLENT.
Lock stock and two smoking Innovas!
I paid almost that for the breech! I think it was worth it because the used ones I saw were often cracked inside and you wouldn't see it unless you stripped them.
Thanks Junglie that might explain the "crumbling", I'm surpised they used that.
The trigger block had crumbled and distorted on my Ace. It looked like cheap badly fired clay. Eek

Sharp certainly used some questionable materials on their guns.
that looks very nice
