    There's always one...

One member, who shall remain nameless, sent me this PM:

I'm interested in one of the Premier pistols, could you send me some more photographs please.

Guaranteed probably in comparison to the HW45 & Hurricane.

It was seeing this vid by my favourite air pistol YouTuber that really made me want one:

For anyone who's bought any of these the seller has informed me he'll be posting them tomorrow.

    Cheers,

I was lucky enough to be quick off the mark with the two I wanted - the Hy-Score and the HW45 - and they turned up, beautifully packaged, by Special Delivery this morning. The condition is superb. Many thanks to Danny for facilitating the sale.

Many thanks to Danny for making these available.

    Apologies...

Interesting snippets of info gleaned by the original owner in his communications with the company in Belgium (from whom he bought it directly):

Production of the 550 started in 1998, they were available in .177 & .22 and the 'J&L' of J&L Rutten stands for the owners, Jean & Leon Rutten who were twins.

This one has a sealed Rutten branded tin of match pellets, I'm assuming relabelled.
I won't mention the gorgeous one piece wrap around walnut grips....

    Cheers,
    Matt

I was interested to hear that the original owner obtained his pistol directly from the manufacturers, as that was how I got my own example. Many years ago, after manufacture of the pistol had ceased, I had almost given up ever finding one, when I managed to do a deal with a Swedish dealer/collector, part of which involved his finding me an example. He resorted to using his business contacts to get one of the last still being held by Rutten. So from Belgium to Sweden to the UK, I obtained a boxed, unfired mint example complete with all the paper work.

It was so easy, and economical to send airguns round Europe back then. Happy days.
