Is Sunday the usual day that the Melbourne fair is held, I thought it was normally held on Saturdays or is my memory failing again?

Worst case scenario, I know, but in view of the current weather situation could we have a definite event will go ahead/ not go ahead post on here?

I suggest a pre-arranged time, say 0700 Sunday, early enough to abort mission without being late enough for folk to have already set off. Perhaps a similar post in NAG, too?

Here in the Doncaster area we miss most of the worst weather, possibly because we’re only .5 metre above sea level but we’re white over this morning. Melbourne has far more chance of heavy snow than us.

Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

It's OK here at the mo. Obviously there is some snow on the roads, but it's drivable with care. 🙂
Edit: I'm about 8 miles from Melbourne.

    Weather or not?

The forecast for Sunday is 7c and 10% chance of rain at 10am in Melbourne - practically tropical...

For those that do make it to the airgun fayre, general entrance is at 10am and is £2.50 per person. Please have the exact money if possible, it speeds up getting everyone inside.
Too many guns, or not enough time?

I think snow is forecast throughout Saturday though.
Got my cash at the ready. 🙂

I got back earlier, sadly I did not see anything to my liking but a non blow back Umerex 1911 and a gorgeous Gamo stutzen nearly got me reaching for my card. £ 140 and 300 respectively.
The roads were as clear as a bell and there were a couple of parking spaces opposite.
I hoped to see some vintage shooting magazines but saw none.

    Another great fair.
I picked up a BSA Breakdown pattern, again - I bought one of those last time too!
I saw two PH Dragons, two Sharp Innovas, a BSA Airsporter Stutzen in rare 177 caliber, Midland Demon, BSA Buccaneer, countless pre-war BSA undelevers, BSA 240 Magnum, HW45s, Westley Richards Highest Possible, multiple Webley Service rifles and two Bonehill Brittania's those were just the ones of interest to me.
    Unmissable.

I was torn between a Walther LP53 and a Predom Łucznik Wz.1970, both for £150. The LP53 looked well used, but the Wz.1970 looked barely used and in the original case, so it had to come with me.

Now looking for a mainspring from an HW30 for a powerplant conversion to tame a bit of that recoil/torque from the firing cycle.
