ID a air rifle

Hi Guys,
the motif “BSA” embossed on the wooden stock.
Is there any way to establish what model and year of manufacture from the serial number?

It is either a pre war 'breakdown ' pattern ( stock finishes just behind the trigger guard)

Or

A post war ' Cadet' model ( stock finishes near the breech and runs under the air cylinder)

The B prefix from what i have found seem's to be either A breakdown pattern .177 1932-1939 , Or a cadet .177 1946-1947.
