    Beech, and it looks to me stripped at some point. These rifles were powerful, new design, and inexpensive. Hard trigger though. The varnish wasn't much good and showed damage quite fast. Quite dark too, well dark compared to what BSA was trying.
    Webley did do a walnut MK1 and a MII stock delux, which are quite smart.
