Webley will it work?-Zeroing Experts your comments please.

For the 1st time in months I bought one of the comics and found the proposed Webley take down.

It's based on a reliable old faithful the Raider, no problem at least it should work. My curiosity was raised when I saw that the Barrel is meant to unscrew from the breach block when the gun is stripped.

Fine it makes the packed gun shorter but if you dissemble it and re-assemble it will it hold a 30 yrd zero?

I just cannot see how a standard "production" gun can be made to tight enough tolerances to enable it to hold zero

I can see many a stripped thread on that one but won't say more till I see more on it and get the chance to talk to a owner.
I bet the comics loved it though, and I also bet there was at least 50 exclamation marks in the article(more exclamation marks = better the rifle )

Webley have been doing rifles with quick release barrels for ages, even my old Hawke Mk 1 with two barrels held its zero.

It's not the same as the old springer
    • springers have one sight mounted on the barrel
    • we expect more of our airguns

    Never mind..
