Best guess here is mid fifties date. Thrale's book doesn't show a plain detachable cap version.
I've had a look at a Webley Mk3 I got from a gunshop about 14 years ago.
It is an earlyish Webley Mk3 with a fluted stock.(which was broken) The Serial number is in the 11 thousands.
The trigger block has grub screws for adjusting the trigger and I've not checked today whether the threads are right or it has been tapped out. There is what looks to be a home made end cap on the end of the trigger block. It is smooth and not knurled. It is drilled for a pin to hold it.
Checking on Danny's site. I saw that early model had a knurled end cap.
I am wondering whether this gun should have one of if the block is a later one that has been modified.
And now has any one got one of these knurled caps in their spares box? I am assuming it would fit this block.
Thanks

A bump up for a trigger block end cap like the one shown on here

one with the small rear stock screw or the later one with the big bolt as I have another trigger block I could use.
Thanks
