Is it real gold I wonder, and what 'quality' of gold would be best for a gun?

That reminds me of a Yorkshire-land joke...

A Yorkshire man's dog dies and as it was a favourite pet he decides to have a gold statue made by a jeweller to remember the dog by.

Yorkshire man: "Can tha' mek us a gold statue o’ me dog?"
Jeweller: "Does tha' want it 18 carat?"
Yorkshire man: "No yer daft tw@t, I want it chewin' a bone!"

Currently looking for Baikal Makarov pistols with the following prefixes to the serial number: 98, T01, T09, T21, T22
Prefer boxed or cased but will consider loose examples too.
