It would have a red stock metal sights leather piston. Hope this helps.
Hi All, I've just started restoring what appears to be a Mk3 Airsporter, it's very rusty and appears to be painted, a couple of questions if you don't mind.
1: would this have originally been blued and 2:should this have the plastic rear sight or the sintered steel one fitted.
Looking on line there is not a lot of information about the Mk3 hence the questions.

Depending on when it was made, it may have a leather piston seal or it could be the start of the O-ring / Buffer washer style. The rear sight should be the sintered metal style, these aren't available any more.
Very interesting if it is a MK3 .
Definitely should have a blued finish. have you any pics and what is the serial number prefix..
I have most Mk's but not a Mk3. I have an early mk4 with the square front which I thought was a Mk3 at first.
