BSA S10 MKIII Stock - Can Sling Stud Mounted Bipods be attached?

    Good Evening All,

Its starting to look that my dream gun may become reality soon, as such, can the S10 MKIII stock be fitted with sling studs so that a bipod, i.e. Harris, can be attached ?

Does it work fine or are there issues I should be concerned about, i.e. weak spots on the stock, interefering with action, etc?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Tony

    Tony,

It can be done, I did it on mine, you need to put the front mount in the wood just back from the front, there is a lot of bottle clearance. I needed to grind the bolt a bit, before fitting the nut, to get it to fit. I loctited mine, that was about a year ago, no problems. I have used a harris bipod on this mount which in my case is a QD swivel. I hope this helps

    Take care, Voldy

Harris do a swivel eye that is a rectangular flat plate with two screw holes, they are good for S10s.
