    Skan 32

    Hi All
After a bit of help and or advice please.
I have a skan 32 which belonged to someone I know. It’s in real nice condition but there is no magazine and fill adaptor. I know nothing about these rifles.
Can’t load a photo here but it has wood grip / forend / stock part.
So I am wondering can you get mags for these or is that impossible ?
And what fill adaptor is needed ? No air in rifle so can’t even fill and check.
Or would it be best sold as is for parts or other ?
Any advise he’ll be much appreciated I can send photos if required to help
    Cheers Jerry

there are quite a few variants on the basic Skan principle.
I have a mk1 and had a mk2 as well as some of the later models.
I think you need a picture or two to help people identify the specific model and suggest what might fit.

A fill adapter is something that can be turned up by a machinist if not easily available.....a magazine might be trickier...

It will certainly be worth sorting out parts for as these are collectable and interesting niche pcp. breaking for parts would be almost criminal!!
Gun control means using both hands.

Fill adaptor should be straightforward as this was an off-the-shelf item, not made by Mike AFAIK. If no one has done so by the evening I will post a picture for you. I think it's the same as the Rapid buddy bottle adaptor but do wait for someone to confirm.
Magazine will be tricky but you might get lucky.
You probably won't have any trouble selling the rifle should you wish to do so. I'm sure there will be a Skan enthusiast or completist willing to take it off your hands who already has magazines.

If you can get it running and get a mag, they are superb little rifles.

You have to host photos on an external site like flikr or imgur, and then link to it.

BTW here is a link to the (rather basic) manual:

You can still get pellet probe o-rings on the bay. Don't think anyone is offficially supplying spares though.

Yes that's a mini M32 (poss. R32), the mk before mine, so the manual will be relevant and it will use the same fill adaptor.

There's a blast from the past. I've had 3 IIRC M32 in .177 and .22 but this was last century. This is the reason I let many of my Niche rifles go over the years, Skan, Brockfox, Gamekeeper, Daystate even. Worried about keeping them going as I don't have the skills.
Good luck with keeping it going.

I could suggest Dave lewis who was working with Mike on the service side of things, he may still have some parts available although it's been some years since I was in contact with him.

Should you wish I will forward his number to you if you P/M me as it is probably a personal mobile, it may be a day or so until I respond as I have a lot of building work going on at home at the moment and am caring for my partner as she is recovering from a bleed on the brain.

I would not like to veture on spare part prices, it may be worth trying Best Fittings for an adaptor if no machinist is available.

I can also confirm from personal experience that the fill adaptor fitterd the MK1, MK2, MINI & R32 & R32 Ultra models unless anyting was changed accross the range as I have ownded all the listed variations.

From memory I don't think I have a spare origonal Magazine but will check.

    Regards, Nigel.
