    Centenary Bag Handle

    Has any member have a BSA Centenary bag and can give me the measurements of the handles pleas and what are they made of, plastic, leather etc. A close up photo would be appreciated if possible.

    The ones on mine were an orangey brown plastic which were undamaged but I've since heard of a lot that cracked and broke because the plastic used was unstable and they fell apart. Never seen one like that though.

    Here's a close up of a Centenary carrying handle:



    I've had several boxed examples and fortunately they all had perfect handles.
    I believe exposure to sunlight causes these handles to deteriorate.

    This.
    I suspect some have already been replaced by something longer lasting.
    To me this shouldn't effect value as the originals are all going to break up, and done well a replacement is a plus.
