    Tell 3 replacement grips

Just got a Tell3 in for repair. Does anybody know who makes these lovely replacement grips ? Pity I do not have a sample grip medallion, could cast some for it.

You read my mind Micky, the first thing I thought of was the serial number. I did find another wood grip on the internet a few years back. I would say that both individuals knew what they were doing especially with the inclusion of the Tell emblems though somewhat hard to read. As for the other picture, one of my Tells is completely missing the grip.

So presumably the chequering was done by machine?

Many thanks for the serial number. Believe that is the second lowest number recorded. Wondered if it is stamped "FOREIGN" on the underside of the barrel.

I have Ser No 49 which has traces of plating underneath the rear sight blade and around the trigger guard, but I have no idea if this was originally treated.

No Mike, it has been nicely refinished. Grips definitely wood, see small chip off left hand grip. Barrel marked Kal 4 1/2mm Cal. 177
    Think bought for £700.
