What a shame to see such a highly collectable pistol, one of my favourites, in such a state.
I suspect it's been stored in it's original box in a garden shed, or garage, for decades, and just forgotten about.

    Thats not too bad !

A couple of minutes with an angle grinder, and that will be as good as new.

Might need to touch it up with the bluing gel though

This had the same treatment. Metal taken down below all the letter stampings but looks and shoots good with new strong spring from troubledshooter.
Still should sell for £100 at Kempton ?

    That would clean up ok!

I bought a mk1 HW80 from my local SDS dive centre that had bad pitting on it, I used the slack part of the belt on my linisher to grind through the deepst then polished it some and Fozzie on here got it reblacked for me, It's lovely now!

    As I bought it..

And as it was when I received it back, Had I gone down to 2000 grit paper it would have shone like Jet
