    There was an earlier S, early 1980s; the "blond" ones. This example I suspect 1986 onwards. I think the more hansom for it. BSA did a few walnut rifles for a time in the late 1980s and I think the ones to find, collect and keep. I sold a Mercury S, or deluxe as it just had trigger grip checkering, in similar wood quality. I wish I had kept it.

    I'll be interested when it hits sales section, just to see how long it stays about. Nice, honest example.
