    scopes

    Hi All

    Its been a while since I have been on here so please excuse my ignorance.

    I inherited my fathers AAs410k which I bought him some years ago. I was a avid shooter some 10 years ago and had my own AAs410 with a MTC viper scope which I loved but even then the ret was very fine I'm now 53 and my eyesight is not as good as it was
    what reccomendantions for a quality scope half mildot but with a more visible ret.
    thanks in advance

    David

    The Hawke Vantage SF (14161) will be OK for you, I say that as it's far too thick for my taste, but I like thin ret's.

    The Vantage WA SF IR (14296) has got a very nice clear ret, about as thick as I can still like, it's also 1/10 mrad which I'm starting to prefer over 1/4 moa.

    Edit to add, these are 4-16 mag, as you didn't state a size.

    Standard scope caveat;
    all eyes are different don't buy without looking through the same model to see if it suits you.

    For the sake of balance, a cost effective alternative is a Nikko Stirling Panamax
    Go for the IR versions, which are glass etched half milldot.
    Their website doesn't really show how nice of simple the ret really is.
    You can pick up the 3x9x40 for around £140

    Confused myself, thick ret hid the target so went for thin ret, that got lost looking at the target. Very hard to get to perfection trying different scopes.
