Tbh I paid that for the Christmas Glutewine I got in Lidl and that was bloody lovely, almsot remided me of a nice Port so being cheap doesn't mean bad and also means more of it for your money.

It’s from a shop called “Noz”, think of the middle aisle of Lidl, it’s a whole warehouse of that! Over the years I have found a magnetic thermometer with a portrait of a cat wearing a three-piece suit, a fried egg mould in the shape of a wild west pistol, and a 14” José Morinho action figure in full Chelsea managers kit!

I didn’t buy wine from there for years on the basis it must be crap! But then I found out they just buy end of line or clearance items and sell them on cheap. They had bottles of Grand Cru Chateau Neuf de Pap for 8.99€ before Christmas!

What the brits do is buy a bottle of each type, go to the car park to try them, then go back and buy the entire stock of the one they like

The photo was on an exprats group, I hope to go and check this week

I spotted some multi-packs of budget teaspoons in Home Bargains the other week. Would make good long-range spinners.

I might stop buy and get some when I've next got Car access, just ordered some Golf tees for the Alien eggs and pingpong ball targets I'm making and finished the quick paintjobs on the little pan things (tbh probably wasn't worth it as one good hit and it'll be gone but keeps me occupied I guess).

I used to make my own wine when I lived in Darlo. I made my own labels too:

”Handcrafted on the banks of the A66, this wine is lovingly fermented in a plastic bucket”

Went in noz last summer, it was like the boot fair at Redcar racecourse, if the boot fair had really let itself go 🤣🤣🤣🤣 iirc the old man bought a bottle of wine from there. It speaks volumes that even he wouldn’t drink it beyond taking a swig then pulling a hilarious face 🤣🤣🤣

Labels 😱 you posh so and so 🤣 mine doesn’t have labels, I just drink it out the demijohn by the pint. Hold your nose and pour it down. It’s good for you it’s got fruit in it so it’s technically part of your five a day 🤣🤣🤣
