Looks like the one Hofhuntsman was after a valuation for on ‘another’ forum about a year back. Danny commented on it at the time.

Congratulations on finding what looks to be a really nice early cased Slant Grip Senior. The pellet tin also looks in good condition and your planned reproduction oil can should complete the set until hopefully an original one turns up. I notice the barrel has knurling which I believe was introduced just after the war and reduced in length shortly afterwards due to wear on the cocking link.
    Really nice find.

    Cheers Brian,

Yes it has the knurled barrel that was fitted to the later pre war seniors,I prefer the un knurled barrel to be fair as I think it looks better
I've wanted a cased senior for a very long time so nice to finally get hold of one
Only thing I need to get hold of now is a nice straight grip senior which I've had no luck with, but I'm sure one will turn up in time

Serial number S18900 ? If so one of the very last pre war Seniors to be made. Maybe even assembled during the war years.
