    Any Alros owners on board???

Well i've never owned one up untill Monday just gone..1 came up for sale on GT not so far from me so off i went, the owner nice chap had the chrono set up 2.5 ft/lb i bought it any way

No markings on it looks like the Shadow m100 but now i'm thinking it might be the m140. The barrel is 18.5" long and the air tube is 20" long. Rifle has the sporter style stock.

Any way i got back home put it on the dive bottle air in it 180 bar so not low on air and it holds air no leaks

After much time stripping it cleaning it out time and time again not really knowing my way around it. At last she's doing 11 with Falcon A plus in .22

Just tought i would share that

    Cheers

PS, has the 8 shot mag, but i'm finding that a headache at the moment so it's off the rifle

Well done on getting yourself a Alros.
They do look nice with the action sitting low in the stock.
I’ve had the m400 with the 8 shot magazine (like yours), and a Trailsman with the buddy bottle ,both were in .22 cal.
The one remaining is a Trailsman with the slim type cylinder in 177 cal.
    Regards

That’s a blast from the past, I had to search my old threads as couldn’t remember the Alros I had

Found it way back in 2010

    https://www.airgunbbs.com/showthread...ighlight=Alros

Looks like I had a shadow 8 shot and re-reading my thread it was a bit of a doer upper but I noticed my comments about it being nice and pointable with a fairly decent trigger.

Ironically I spotted a Starfire a few weeks back it looked really really nice but I don’t tend to do co2 rifles and never enquired about it for fear spares might be unobtainable.

    No problem Les

There is a variant of the standard Starfire. it has a TH stock and mine has a 'magnum' silencer fitted. It's only marginally quieter than the standard rifle and does nothing to enhance the looks. Everything else is the same.

I have the magnum silencer on my Trailsman,it’s basically just a hollow tube isn’t it?.

Yes, just a hollow tube Thats 90s marketing for you

The carbine was the 'Tomcat' with a straight pull bolt. Never seen one, although I'm sure a few would have been bought.

Yep, just done a little research and Tomcat came up,a plainer stock and bolt arrangement.

Starting to regret not enquiring about that Starfire now those look awesome Mark

Out of interest are spares tricky or are they fairly simple setups?
